Empathic Marketing

Don't run your business with an employee mentality

Aug 16, 2022

What motivated you to become a self-employed entrepreneur or business owner?

I can't speak for you, but I hate being told what to do.

I especially hate being told to do stuff I don't like to do.

But here's the thing... owning and operating a business isn't all fun and games.

You may have become a fitness coach because you like exercising and helping people lose weight and get in shape.

Now as an employee, doing those things may be your only responsibility.

But as a business OWNER, your biggest responsibility is ensuring a steady stream of new customers.

And the only way that is going to happen is if you DO THE WORK.

Sticking with the fitness trainer example, it's kinda the same thing they would say to their clients.

They're not going to lose the weight if they don't do the work.

The "work" for a business owner is MARKETING.

If you're not constantly and consistently marketing, you're not getting your message out there, and you won't see the steady stream of customers necessary to keep your business alive and healthy.
