What they don't tell you - Funnels Part 1

The biggest thing we're not told is "what is a funnel anyway".
Most of us have been told that "websites are dead" and we're "only one funnel away".
We're lead to believe that a funnel is created by a piece of online software that builds a sequence of pages and turns a cold audience into raving buyers.
In this example a funnel is simply a sub-category of a website. It's a website with the goal of converting visitors into buyers.
But there are 2 realities that are quite often ignored:
1) a funnel is just a tool and if you're not skilled in using it, it's not going to work.
2) "If you build it, they will come" is not a thing. You could have the most eloquent funnel in the world but if nobody knows of its existence, no sales will be made.
